Location: Central London

Summary: New helical staircase & lift shaft.

Specification: To provide new staircase & bridge structure.

Challenges of the task: To develop the design of the staircase based on it being hung and having no supports between the outer stringer members except for the stone treads. These had to have no visible fixings so were all fixed with internal pins.

The lift shaft was clad in glass but the appearance was to be a sealed continuous glass face. The underside of the main landing had a very distinctive design which presented challenges for site erection as the landing was in a very large assembly size.
